Ski Season, here we come...

We got season passes this year at the Solitude Ski Resort. Beautiful lodge I must say! Here is a montage I made of live video and pictures from our weekend skiing. FYI, last year we left Lydia home and this year Mark is determined to teach her how to ski. This was her first real time skiing. So proud of her! All I can say is that their is going to be lots of Mommy and Lydia time in the lodge sippin' hot cocoa while the boys are tearing it up.

Our little fam.

This was before she tried skiing. Her opinion didn't change much afterwards.

Lydia's third run down, she did it. Didn't like it but she did it. Right after this she told me she wanted her root beer that Daddy had promised her. She was done!

I have a feeling we are going to be skiing buddies. The boys left us girls for five hours. We hung out in the lodge, ate lunch, drank hot cocoa, and just about went crazy!

Lydia holds onto my pole as I pull her around.

The boys stopped in for lunch. I had reserved a sweet spot by the fire place.

You gotta have a snow ball fight. Poor William was the one who got ganged up on.

Baseball and summer fun

Are they already missing the snow? Here we beeeeeg for warm weather and then on a nice sunny day I found my kids out back with their snow skis all geared up and ready to go. I am very excited for ski season this year. I am recovering from another knee scope I had done last week. Hopefully, my knee will behave itself and let me enjoy a fun ski season with my fam. Last winter Lydia and I got left behind. She was too young to keep up with the boys and I had a bad knee that kept me from going with them every weekend. But this year Lydia will learn to ski and I'll be there right beside her. Having that family activity to look forward to on cold snowy days helps those long winters not drag on like they have in the past.

SUMMER BASEBALL

My two handsome boys. FINALLY, they have found a sport that they both love and Mark included. This has been a fun and busy summer. We weren't ready for Baseball season to end. Mark takes the boys and Lydia out every evening on a bike ride, then to the park to play ball, and then ride over and get an shaved ice. I go every other time, but the times I don't it gives momma a break which I find myself looking forward to on most days. Gotta love that man of mine!

Skiing winter 2010

We figure that if you are going to be raised in Utah, you might want to know how to ski. Mark grew up skiing since he was ten and loved it. He and his childhood friends Nate and Brad started teaching their kids since January 2010. It was a fun fun winter for our boys...and Mark. You could just about bet that every Saturday Mark and the boys were on the slopes. Our boys caught on so fast as most kids do, fearless at this age. Towards the end Mark said he had to try to keep up with them. I can't wait till next ski season when Lydia and I can go. Mark is panning on teaching Lydia next winter. This will make it so I am not home every Sat. by myself. We can go as a family. I am very excited!

Nate (Mark's friend since he was 5) was a ski instructor. He was fab with them.

Still first day...
