Thanksgiving 2010

We had Thanksgiving this year at my sisters house in Provo for the first time. Brought back a lot of Bowman traditions and dishes. Such a great time and the cousins all plays so well. Dave's sister Kristin and her fam came too.

Here are the three ladies that made the magic all happen that day! What a feast.

Where are the kids? We kicked them out till dinner was ready. Can't tell you how many times the kids kept coming up and sitting in the chairs ready to eat. So sad.

Yum Yum!

Mark bought this lamp at Walgreen's. It's from the Christmas Story movie (fragile'). We brought it with us to Kristen's house, set it up in a corner, and waited for Dave or Kristen to notice. It took over an hour. It just about killed me when Dave saw it. So funny!

Skeet Houston Bowman

Here is the newest Bowman family grandchild. This little sweet heart is the first boy on the Bowman side to carry on the Bowman name. He is named after my Dad's dad James (Skeet) Houston Bowman. Such a proud Daddy!

Seriously, Bowman's produce good looking men!

He is such a cutie! Those are my Grandpa Bowman's goose neck spurs that he invented (in the early 1900's) and is known for in the Cowboy Hall of Fame. His name "Skeet" is on them.

This was my Mom meeting Skeet for the first time at 1am.

Mom looks so great! Little Skeet is adorable!

Lydia turns 4

Can it be that my baby girl is four? It's like she is no longer considered a toddler:( Such a big girl. All she wanted for her birthday was a real horse. That's not too much to ask for eh? After reality set into her she then asked for a real chihuahua. Again, I don't think so. We got her to settle for a big girl bike, and boy howdy does she love that new bike. She took to it like it was nothing. Very coordinated. She now (with training wheels) stands up and peddles. She has to keep up with those brothers of hers.

Out of much bribery for her birthday party, she agreed to wear a dress. Does that make me a mean Mommy? Either way, I thought she looked beautiful for her special party at Pirate Island. Thanks to Heleen W. for the dress:)

Singing happy birthday to her self

A silly picture...

Adorable

One of the few wonderful Grandmas who let their grandchildren ride a bike in the house, Grandma Jones!

Had to have a horse cake seeing that she was not getting a real horse:)

Mitchell gave Lydia her birthday gift early so he could show her how to use her Barbie computer. She loved it!

Grandma Jones is always so good to read a few books to the kids before they go to bed. They look forward to this.

Thomas turns 8

Thomas turned 8 on May 6. I can't believe I have an 8 yr old. Mark is going to baptism him in July in the upper Provo river when it will be warmer. He is very excited about this. Had to go through a lot to get it approved. Mark has said before we were even married that he wanted to baptize his children in the river. He had an amazing missionary experience like that up in Seattle, WA.

For Thomas' birthday we got a suite (Kevin Costner's suite) at the Stein Eriksen Lodge where Mark works. We invited my sister's family, three families that were Mark's childhood friends, Uncle Mitchell, and Aunt Lindsay just happen to be in town from VA with her babies. It was a crowd, but so much fun. I wish I had taken more pics of the whole crew. For the weekend we went swimming in the heated outdoor pool, had pizza, opened presents, cake and ice cream, Hot Tub Club went on all weekend. Us Ladies went to the Spa and got massages. We were only gone for three hours, lol. We walked Park City main street and watched movies every night. I think the kids all had a great time. I know us adults did!

Here are my three kids up stairs in the loft with wet bathing suits after Hot Tub Club

This preeeeety much sums up the weekend for the boys and their friends...video games.

Pinata time. I had more pics of this, but Amanda was in all of them and they weren't very pretty.

Hot Tub Club is gonna make you sweat.

Boy Scouts

Thomas absolutely LOVES cub scouts. I had no idea he would take to it to quickly. He takes it very seriously and enjoys it every week. Mark loves that he loves it so much. He was so impatient for me to get all his patches sewed on. I called my Mom to tell her how tedious it was ans she said that she just stapled my brothers on. I laughed so hard! I think the sewing thing skipped a generation with my Mother.

"A Sailor life for me"

Outside of Thomas' classroom hung a piece of art work that he did of himself. On his tummy it reads below:

"When I grow up I want to be a Pilet. I will drive areoplanes. I will take them to Arizona and see my Grandma and Grandpa. It will be fun to play with Grandma." ~Thomas Jones/1st grade

I showed Lindsay this and she said that Carolina like to have people smell her "buddy" (blanket)
